Kenya Bankers Sacco, established in February 1975, aims to provide affordable financial services to its members for wealth creation through deposit mobilization and prudent financial management.
Membership Eligibility
The Sacco’s membership is open to all.
Membership Requirements
To become a member, applicants must:
- Fill out the membership application form available on the Sacco’s website or at any of its offices.
- Provide the following documents:
- Copy of National ID/Passport.
- Copy of KRA PIN certificate.
- One passport-size photograph.
- Pay a membership registration fee of Kshs 500, deposited via Mpesa paybill number 400444 (account number: your ID number).
- Submit the completed membership form:
- As a hard copy to the Sacco’s office, or
- Scan and email to [email protected].
Upon processing, members will receive their membership number and account details.

Savings Products
- Children Savings Account
- Minimum operating balance: Kshs 1,000.
- Earns interest payable every six months.
- Savings are withdrawable.
- Interest rate: 40%.
- Elimu Bora Savings Scheme
- Minimum monthly contribution: Kshs 1,000.
- Maximum loan entitlement: x3 total savings/deposits.
- Maximum repayment period: 36 months.
- Interest rate: 1% per month (reducing balance).
- Main Saving Scheme
- Mandatory minimum monthly contribution: Kshs 3,000.
- Non-withdrawable unless upon termination of membership.
- Used as security for loans except for education loans.
- Risk Management & Benevolent Scheme
- Members contribute Kshs 400 for internal insurance coverage.
