Telepost Sacco Membership Eligibility & Requirements

Telepost Sacco (formerly Posta Sacco) began in 1969 as a welfare organization for subordinate staff of the then Kenya Posts & Telecommunications Corporation (KP&TC). Over the years, it has grown to become a leading Sacco in membership and share capital.


Membership Eligibility

Telepost Sacco welcomes members from various segments of the market, including:

  1. Employees of Telepost Sacco Society.
  2. Telkom Kenya employees.
  3. Posta Kenya employees.
  4. Career Direction Limited staff.
  5. Human Capital Synergies staff.
  6. Multimedia University staff.
  7. Other private organizations.
  8. Private individuals.
  9. Chamas (investment groups) and corporates.
  10. Non-core bond members.
  11. Spouses and dependents of members.

Membership Requirements

  1. Complete a membership application form, available for download from the Sacco’s website or obtainable at its offices or from county delegates.
  2. Attach the following documents:
    • A copy of your National ID.
    • A passport-size photograph.
  3. Pay an entrance fee of Kshs 1,000.
  4. Commit to a minimum monthly contribution of:
    • Kshs 2,000 for normal shares.
    • Kshs 300 for the Telepost Benevolent Fund.
