Sheria Sacco, established in 1972, is a leading deposit-taking Sacco in Kenya with an asset base of Kshs 8.51 billion. The Sacco has a growing membership of over 10,000 members.
Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to:
Past and Present Employees of:
- Judiciary.
- Office of the Attorney General.
- Government ministries and departments.
- Sheria Sacco and its projects and subsidiaries.
- Kenya School of Law.
- Universities.
- Law Society of Kenya.
- Quasi-government institutions under the Office of the Attorney General and Judiciary.
- Non-governmental organisations.
Other Eligible Members:
- A member’s spouse or immediate family member.
- Advocates of the High Court of Kenya.
- Students of the Kenya School of Law.
- Certified Public Secretaries.
- Approved business entrepreneurs and institutions.
- Any individual employed by an organisation registered in Kenya, capable of making regular contributions and fulfilling loan repayment requirements.
Membership Requirements
- Completed membership application form (available for download on the Sacco’s website).
- Copy of National ID or passport.
- Duly filled nominee card.
- One passport-size photo.
- Payment of Kshs 1,700 as follows:
- Kshs 1,000 for registration.
- Kshs 500 for FOSA account opening.
- Kshs 200 for Burial Benevolent Fund registration.
