Military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on X that Israeli forces are actively targeting Hezbollah positions near local villages. He urged residents to stay away from their homes until further notice and warned that traveling south could endanger their lives.
In another message, Adraee advised health workers and medical teams in southern Lebanon to refrain from using ambulances, alleging that Hezbollah fighters are utilizing them. He emphasized the need for medical teams to avoid collaboration with Hezbollah members, stating that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would take action against any vehicle transporting armed individuals, irrespective of its type.
Israel is currently involved in a multi-front conflict, continuing its operations against Palestinian militants in Gaza. Recently, the military has intensified ground and air assaults in northern Gaza, particularly around the city of Jabalia. On Saturday, Adraee urged residents near Sheikh Radwan, south of the Jabalia refugee camp, to evacuate, declaring the area, including shelters, a dangerous combat zone and advising them to relocate to the humanitarian zone in the southern part of the strip.
