Application for a New Kenyan Passport And Requirements

Application Steps

1. Register at www.ecitizen.go.ke.
2. Visit immigration.ecitizen.go.ke or the Department of Immigration Services to access the passport application form.
3. Carefully read the instructions and complete the application form.
4. Choose a payment method and pay the passport fees.
5. Download and print the completed application form along with three payment receipts.
6. Submit the application form in person at the Embassy.

Required Documents for Submission

1. A completed eCitizen passport application form and three receipts.
2. Original birth certificate and a photocopy.
3. Original National ID Card and a copy.
4. Three current passport-sized photos.
5. A copy of the recommender’s ID Card.
6. A consent letter for minors.
7. The old passport if applicable.
8. Copies of parents’ National ID cards.

Replacement of Old/Mutilated Passport

Application Steps

1. Register at www.ecitizen.go.ke.
2. Go to immigration.ecitizen.go.ke or the Department of Immigration Services to access the passport application form.
3. Carefully read the instructions and fill out the application form.
4. Select a payment method and pay the passport fees.
5. Download and print the application form along with three payment receipts.
6. Submit the application form in person at the Immigration offices (Nyayo House, Mombasa, and Kisumu).

Passport Renewal Requirements

1. Pre-filled online application form from https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/.
2. Payment invoice.
3. Copy of the birth certificate.
4. Copy of the National ID Card.
5. Original passport and a copy of the bio data page.
6. Copies of Qatar residency or work permit.
7. A copy of the recommender’s ID Card.
8. Two recent passport-sized photos with a white background (2×2 inches). The recommender must sign the back of one photo. Note: Computer-generated images are not accepted.
