The Redmi A4 5G has been announced in India as the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset. Set to launch soon with a price tag of under INR 10,000 (~$120), it will be one of the most affordable 5G phones in the country.
The design of the Redmi A4 5G is similar to the Redmi 14R and Redmi 14C, featuring a large circular camera island with a 50MP main camera. Xiaomi India President, Muralikrishnan B, highlighted that this device marks a significant milestone as the company celebrates 10 years in India, aiming to bring 5G technology to everyone and accelerate the country’s shift to 5G.
While Xiaomi hasn’t revealed the full specifications of the device yet, the Redmi A4 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, an 8MP front camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support.
