Simba Chai Sacco, established on 17th May 1977, is a leading deposit-taking Sacco in Kenya regulated by Sacco Society Regulatory Authority (SASRA). Initially registered as Kericho Hesabu, the Sacco rebranded in 2009 to better reflect its mission and identity. With an asset base exceeding Kshs 1.96 billion, Simba Chai Sacco provides financial solutions to its diverse membership.

Membership Eligibility
Membership is open to the following:
- Permanent employees of Ekatera Tea (formerly Unilever Tea Kenya Limited).
- Farmers.
- Business people.
- Corporate clients.
- Schools.
- Micro-credit groups and chamas.
Membership Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for membership:
- Pay an entrance fee of Kshs 1,000.
- Purchase a minimum of 100 shares valued at Kshs 20 each.
- Meet the following criteria:
- Be 18 years and above.
- Reside, own, or occupy land within the society’s operational area.
- Be employed or in business within the society’s area of operation.
- Be an employee of the society or related investments.
- Be an immediate family member of an existing primary member.
- Be of good character and sound mind.
