Shoppers Sacco is a licensed deposit-taking Sacco established in 1993 to uplift its members’ social and economic well-being. With over 19,000 members, the Sacco has grown significantly from its initial membership of 100. It introduced Front Office Services Activity (FOSA) in 2011 to provide banking services to members.
Membership Eligibility
The Sacco’s membership is open to all Kenyans. Individuals and groups are welcome to join.
Membership Requirements
1. General Requirements
- Complete the membership application form (available on the Sacco’s website or offices).
- Attach two recent passport-size photographs.
- Attach a copy of National ID or Passport.
- Pay a non-refundable joining fee of Kshs 500. For employees, this fee can be deducted from their payslip on the first contribution.
2. Rejoining Membership
- A member who withdraws and wishes to rejoin the Sacco must pay a rejoining fee of Kshs 1,500.
