Citizens Credit Limited provides a variety of loan products tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and individuals facing working capital or cash flow challenges. Below is an overview of the loan products offered:


1. Logbook Loans

  • Description: Loans secured against one or more motor vehicle logbooks for personal expenses such as school fees or medical needs.
  • Requirements:
    • Original logbook.
    • KRA PIN and National ID of the applicant.
    • 2 passport photos.
    • 6 months bank statement.
    • Comprehensive insurance certificate.

2. Check Off/ Civil Servants Loans

  • Target: Civil servants, TSC employees, and employees of private companies with a Citizens Credit MOU.
  • Requirements:
    • Original latest payslip.
    • National ID and KRA PIN.
    • Color passport photos.
    • Confirmation or appointment letter.
  • Charges:
    • Processing fee: 5% of the loan.
    • Form fee: Kshs 300.
    • CRB fee: Kshs 300.
    • Witnessing fee: Kshs 400.
    • Interest rate: Up to 5% per month (varies by repayment period).

3. Cheque Discounting

  • Description: Provides immediate cash against a cheque from a reputable company.
  • Requirements:
    • Cheque to be discounted.
    • ID copy of the applicant.
    • Acknowledged invoice or payment vouchers (if available).

4. Invoice Discounting

  • Description: Financing of up to 80% of the invoice value for suppliers to reputable institutions, repayable in 90 days.
  • Requirements:
    • Copies of original invoices.
    • Delivery notes.
    • Letter of assignment of receivables.
    • Latest bank statement for the business.

5. Import Financing

  • Description: Covers port, storage, and demurrage charges, financing 100% of calculated duties and taxes.
  • Requirements:
    • Original bill of lading.
    • Invoice for goods or motor vehicle.
    • Import Declaration Form (IDF).
    • English Japanese logbook.
    • Copy of ID or PIN of the importer.

6. LPO Financing

  • Description: Financing for awarded LPOs, LSOs, or contracts against title deeds and logbooks as securities.
  • Requirements:
    • Original LPO/LSO/contract.
    • Proforma invoice or cost breakdown.
    • Tangible security (e.g., title deed or logbook).
    • Evidence of past similar jobs.

7. Salary Advance Loans

  • Description: Short-term loans for employees of reputable companies, repayable flexibly.
  • Requirements:
    • 3 months’ latest payslips.
    • 6 months’ latest bank statements.
    • Post-dated cheques.

8. Title Deed Loans

  • Description: Loans secured by title deeds.
  • Requirements:
    • Copy of title deed.
    • Property valuation report.
    • Legal charge over the property.

9. Weekend Loans

  • Description: Quick loans for loyal clients, disbursed via M-Pesa.
