Mwito Sacco, a nationwide deposit-taking Sacco, was established in 1979 under the Co-operative Societies Act Cap 490 of the laws of Kenya. Its primary objective is to promote savings and provide affordable and diversified credit facilities to its members. Regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA), Mwito Sacco has a membership of over 8,104 active contributors.
Membership Eligibility
Mwito Sacco’s membership is open to all and includes:
- Kenya Wildlife and Tourism employees.
- Kenya Marines employees.
- Fisheries Research Institute employees.
- Private companies.
- Business people.
- County governments.
- State commissions.
Membership Requirements
To join Mwito Sacco, you need:
- A duly filled membership form.
- A copy of your National ID/Passport.
- A KRA PIN certificate.
- Two passport-size photos.
- Payment of:
- Joining fees of Kshs 1,000.
- Share capital of Kshs 20,000, payable gradually.
