Shirika DT Sacco, established on 24th April 1969, is one of Kenya’s reputable deposit-taking cooperative societies. Initially, membership was limited to staff from the Ministry of Co-operative Development. However, over the years, the Sacco has expanded its membership to include individuals and groups from various sectors. With a membership of nearly 8,000 and deposits exceeding Kshs 3.50 billion, Shirika DT Sacco provides a wide range of financial products and services.

Membership Requirements

To become a member of Shirika DT Sacco, the following are required:

  1. A completed membership application form (available on the Sacco’s website).
  2. A registration fee of Kshs 1,000 (non-refundable).
  3. First deposit, including Kshs 300 risk fund paid by all members.
  4. A copy of your National ID.
  5. A copy of your current payslip.
  6. A passport size photograph.
