The Kenya National Police Sacco was registered on 20th November 1972 under registration certificate CS/2092. With over 71,000 members, the Sacco boasts an asset base of Kshs 48.7 billion, a loan portfolio of Kshs 41 billion, and total deposits of Kshs 29 billion. It operates branches in Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kakamega, Meru, Nyeri, Kisii, and Nakuru.
Membership Eligibility
A person of either gender is eligible for membership if they meet any of the following qualifications:
- Serving and retired officers of:
- Regular police service.
- Administration police service.
- Civilians employed by the Kenya Police Service.
- Employees of:
- Kenya National Police DT Sacco Society.
- Utumishi Investment Limited.
- Ruaraka Housing Estate Limited.
- Permanent employees in the civil service.
- Employees of corporate entities operating in Kenya.
- Members of the business community.
- Spouse, son, or daughter of the above members.
Membership Requirements
To join the Sacco, the following documents are required:
- A fully filled membership application form (available for download on the Sacco’s website).
- A copy of the National Identity Card (both sides).
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs.

Membership Withdrawal
- Withdrawal is voluntary and must be communicated in writing through a signed letter and completed withdrawal form (available at the Sacco offices).
- The withdrawal process takes 60 days after acknowledgment of the letter and upon meeting all requirements, including:
- Clearing all liabilities with the Sacco.
- Replacing any members the withdrawing member has guaranteed.
