ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) advanced its continental vision at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional rulers, security representatives, government officials, and youth leaders gathered to deliberate on empowerment, values, and leadership.
The summit featured the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, with participation from representatives of the Commissioner of Police, Chief of Defense Staff, Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Dialogues emphasized strategies for sustainable youth development, including policy reforms, innovation, and rehabilitation. Participants also underscored the importance of relaying complaints to the NCC to ensure accountability and stronger communication channels with authorities.
UPAM described its involvement as strategic groundwork ahead of its upcoming official launch, highlighting the value of building partnerships to secure long-term support for its programs.
Africa Arise Summit Engagement
In a related development, UPAM leaders also joined the Africa Arise Summit 2025, convened by Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead facilitator of the Africa Active Restoration Initiative through Social Emancipation (ARISE).
The event honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes for their societal impact and showcased young talent from The Lioners Academy. UPAM representatives engaged in discussions on collaboration, with a shared focus on leadership, service, and community upliftment.
“The gatherings reinforced our vision for partnership, leadership rooted in service, and Pan-African unity,” said Comr. Williams John, General Secretary of UPAM, who attended alongside other national representatives.
The United Pan-Africanist Movement confirmed that these summits mark a deliberate step in forging alliances, mobilizing youth, and expanding its influence as it prepares for broader continental programs.
