Doha — The gold price in Qatar rose 2.27% this week, closing at $3,527.57 per ounce on Thursday, according to data from Qatar National Bank (QNB). The increase reflects a gain from $3,449.25 per ounce recorded last Sunday, marking a steady upward momentum in the local bullion market.
The rally in gold was accompanied by similar moves across other precious metals. Silver prices advanced 2.44% week-on-week, climbing to $40.69 per ounce, up from $39.72 at the beginning of the week. Meanwhile, platinum rose 2.75% to $1,409.03 per ounce, compared with $1,371.28 on Sunday.
Analysts note that the consistent rise in metals reflects stronger safe-haven demand amid ongoing global economic uncertainties. The movement also highlights Qatar’s role as a regional hub for bullion trade, with local investors closely tracking international pricing trends.
The weekly uptick across gold, silver, and platinum suggests that commodity markets remain resilient, supported by both investor demand and expectations of central bank positioning on interest rates.
